Delivery deadline and conditions
The manufacturing and delivery deadline for jewelry varies between 2 and 15 working days; between 15 and 25 working days for wedding bands and engagement rings. The deadline is considered from the date the Order has been placed on www.contemporia.ro.
The pieces are manufactured manually in our studio; as such, the manufacturing time varies with design complexity and the orders we have pending at any given moment.
If you need the jewelry sooner, please contact us to determine if we can rush your Order . If we cannot manufacture the piece within the 15-day deadline (25 days for wedding bands and engagement rings), we will contact you to let you know and to confirm you still want the Order.
Delivery in Bucharest: Sinapseria– fast bike delivery, within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, 18 lei
Delivery in Romania: TNT, Monday to Friday, 20 lei and 25 lei for payment on delivery
Payment on delivery is available for orders up to 700 lei.
Deliveries to some towns located at a significant distance from a city might incur an additional transport fee . If this is the case, we will confirm with you by phone or email before sending the order.
For orders over 450 lei, delivery within Romania is free of charge.
International delivery: DHL, within 48-72 hours, Monday to Friday, check the specific delivery fee for your country in the table below:

- Payment on delivery
- Card: Accepted cards: Maestro/VISA/Mastercard.
- Bank transfer: After placing the order, you will receive an email with further instructions.
- Gift voucher: If you have one or more Contemporia gift vouchers, you can use them to pay for the order placed on our website, in part or whole.
- In installments, with cards issued by Credit Europe Bank, Banca Transilvania, Garanti Bank, Alpha Bank, BRD Finance.
If the Product does not meet the quality requirements, you can return it within 14 days from receipt, together with the warranty certificate.
By product, we mean both the jewelry and the box. You do not have to return the Product in its original shipping packaging (cardboard box, plastic envelope, etc.). However, make sure the Product is shipped safely.
Jewelry created based on your specifications or highly customized pieces cannot be returned according to current regulations.
Jewelry that has been worn or showing signs of wear cannot be returned.
The withdrawal period ends after 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party, other than the courier, which you designated, takes physical possession of the Product.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us in writing, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by post: Contemporia srl, Bucharest, 9, Dumitru Pera, district 6, regarding your decision to withdraw from the Contract, using unequivocal statement, for example, a letter sent by post or email. You can use the withdrawal draft attached. However, this is not compulsory:

We will reimburse any amountreceived from you, including delivery costs, except additional expenses incurred by selecting another type of delivery besides the most inexpensive delivery type we provide as a standard, with no unjustified delay and than 14 days from the date you notified us regarding your decision to withdraw from the Contract. We will reimburse using the same payment method as the one you used for the initial transaction, except for the case in which you gave us your express consent to use another payment method; under no circumstance shall you be charged any fees as a result of such a refund.
We can postpone the refund until we receive the products, or you provide proof the products have been shipped, whichever date is earliest.
You should ship the products without unjustified delay and, under any circumstance, no later than 14 days from the date of your notification. The deadline is met if the products are shipped before the end of the 14 days.
You will have to cover the direct costs of returning the products.
You are responsible for the diminishing of the products’ values as a result of handling, other than the normal handling required to assess the nature, quality, and function of the products.
During the warranty period, we provide free after-sales services, such as rhodium replating, cleaning, increasing or decreasing the size (if the pieces are suitable for such alterations).
If you are not sure about the size, mainly where rings are concerned, kindly reach out to us by email: email@example.com or phone: +40 746 175 826 to confirm if the piece you selected can be altered or should be manufactured from scratch, and the costs incurred by this.
Shipping the jewelry for retouches, claims, or repairs should be done by courier to Bucharest, 9 Dumitru Pera, district 6. These services are booked and provided with 15 working days from receipt, according to art. 16 (1), Law 449/2003, if we confirm such deterioration was caused by a labor defect.
Free post-sales services and retouch services do not cover courier costs for sending the products to our studio.
Caring for your jewelry, recommendations
Safeguard your jewelry in the box it has been shipped in or a jewelry box.
Do not wear the jewelry when you are cooking, doing dishes/laundry, taking a bath, or doing other activities during which it is likely to come in contact with harsh chemical substances (especially sulfur). Do not wear your jewelry during sports activities or other physical activities, where the risk of mechanical shock is likely.
Wear gemstone/pearl jewelry with care, making sure you protect the stone setting against mechanical shock.
Precious metal can lose its shine if it comes in contact with substances, such as perfume, saltwater, body lotion, hair spray, chlorine, or sulfur. Depending on the use, we recommend having your jewelry inspected and cleaned by a jeweler every year.

Client: individual, company, or other legal entity placing an Order.

Goods and Services: any product (jewelry) or service, including documents and services mentioned in or connected to the Order, supplied by the Seller to the Buyer.
Orderan electronic document used as a communication instrument between the Seller and the Buyer, based on which the Seller agrees to deliver the Goods and Services and the Buyer agrees to receive the Goods and Services and to pay for these (for example, without limitation, website order form www.Contempoia.ro virtual shop, documents sent to the official email address listed on the website: firstname.lastname@example.org)
Contract: an Order confirmed by the Seller.
Intellectual Property Rights (hereinafter, Rights): all immaterial rights, such as know-how, copyright, related rights, database rights, design and model rights, patents, trademarks, and domain name registration.

III. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
By submitting an Order by phone or online on the website above, the Buyer accepts the communication means (phone or email) used by the Seller to conduct the business.
The following documents will make up the Order, in the Order of their importance:
1. The Order (together with clear information about delivery dates and billing information ) and its specific conditions

If the Seller confirms the Order, this means the acceptance of the Order terms . in full.The Order is considered as accepted by the Sellerwhen there is a verbal confirmation (by phone) from the Seller to the Buyer, without the need of a receipt confirmation from the latter. The Seller does not deem an unconfirmed Order as carrying the weight of a Contract.
IV. OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
1.) The object of the Contract is the selling/purchasing of Goods and Services ordered by theClient, according to the information included and confirmed through the Order, part of this Contract, reviewed and confirmed by the Client.
2.) The Order will be submitted in writing, by electronic mail, to the official Contemporia address: email@example.com or by placing an order on the www.contemporia.ro virtual shop.
V. PRICE OF THE CONTRACT
3.) The price of the Contract consists of the price of Goods and Services sent by the Seller, in writing, to the email address supplied by theClientin the Order and the shipping costs, reviewed and confirmed by the Client in the Order.
4.) If the Order exceeds 450 lei, shipping is free of charge.
5.) The prices are expressed in Romanian leu (RON).
6.) The payment for Goods and Servicesshall be made according to the Order , using one of the following methods, as confirmed by the Client:
By money order, according to the proforma invoice sent to the email address provided by the Client in the Order.
Online payment with a credit card through the secure epayment platform managed by Mobilpay. Or
On delivery to the courier, when receiving the Product. Or
If you have one or more Contemporia gift vouchersyou can use them to pay the Order placed on www.contemporia.ro
, in part or whole.) Goods and Services will be shipped to the Client within the timeline agreed to in the Order and/or specified on www.contemporia.ro online shop.
VI. DELIVERY DEADLINE AND CONDITIONS:
8.) The delivery deadline for the Goods and Services is the one mentioned in the Order and/or in the www.contemporia.ro virtual shop, calculated from the date the Order is confirmed by both the Client and the Seller to the date the Product is handed to the courier for delivery.
9.) The Client will be notified in writing of any changes in the timeline due to force majeure circumstances.
10.) The Order submitted will be further confirmed by phone.
11.) Due to scheduling and logistics aspects pertaining to the third parties providing shipping service, the delivery deadlines we present can be altered without prior notification. If you are unhappy with the shipping services, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
12.) No deliveries will be made on legal holidays.
13.)The goods are new, delivered in original packaging, and protected against shock.
14.) We will not be held liable for any damages caused by delays in delivery of the Goods caused by external factors: special weather conditions, strikes, traffic accidents, or other exceptional circumstances that could prevent the courier from delivering the Goods in time.
16.) The Seller is under obligation to comply with the exact provisions of this Contract and those of the Order, as an integral part of this Contract.
17.) The Seller is under obligation to manufacture the Products and to provide the Services ordered by the Client within the deadline agreed for the Order and by following all the specifications included in the Order. The Seller will not be considered liable for wrong models or sizes ordered by the Client, and the Contract cannot be terminated due to such an incorrect order.
18.) The Seller will refund the Client the value of the Goods ordered, minus the shipping costs, if the Client is unhappy with their quality, as per applicable legislation.
19.) The Seller will refund the Client the value of the Goods and Services ordered, minus the shipping costs, if the Client notifies the Seller about their wish to withdraw from the Contract within 14 days from delivery, with no reason needed and no penalties applied, provided the return of the Goods is done respecting the same quality standards of the reception.
20.) The Seller is under obligation to issue an original invoice and to send it to the Client, together with the Goods ordered.
21.) The Seller has to comply with the warranty conditions, as stipulated in the Contract.
22.) The Client is under obligation to review the General terms and conditions of sale before confirming the Order.
23) The Client is under obligation to pay the AMOUNT of the Order, using the payment method of choice:
within 24 hours if the payment method of choice is bank transfer, using the invoice sent to the email address included by the Client in the Order.
immediately, if the Client selected online payment with a credit card, through the secure epayment platform managed by Mobilpay.
Or on parcel delivery, to the courier in charge of delivery, if they decided for payment on delivery.
24.) The Client will comply with conditions applicable to the return of the Goods ordered, as well as warranty and post-warranty conditions, as they arise from this Contract.
25.) Under this Contract, the Client receives legal warranty for conformity issues per Chapter VI, Law 449/2003 regarding selling products and associated warranties, as well as per all rights and warranties made in favor of consumers by Emergency Ordinance 34/2014 regarding consumer rights under contracts with professionals and amending and supplementing certain legal acts.
26.) The warranty granted by this Contract covers Products purchased from Contemporia S.R.L.
27.) The Seller becomes liable if nonconformity arises within 3 years from Product delivery.
28.) The Client is granted the following rights during the warranty period:
a) the right to receive Products that comply with the technical specifications included in the
Contract and the Order.
b) the right to have the Products repaired or replaced to restore conformity, without further costs, based on the Client’s option, except if the Client’s request is impossible or disproportionate.
c) the right to have the Product repaired or replaced if the situation requires it, according to conditions expressly provided by the law.
d) the right to be protected against the risk of purchasing a Product or a Service that might put their life, health, or security in danger or that might affect their legitimate rights and interests.
e) the right to be informed in a complete, correct, and accurate manner regarding the essential features of the products and services, to make a decision that corresponds with their needs to the fullest extent, as well as to be educated as Clients. To this purpose, before submitting any order, the Clients can request additional information by contacting us at +40 746 175 826 (Monday through Friday, 9 am – 4 pm), at email@example.com or through the contact form at www.contemporia.ro/contact.
f) During the warranty period, the Client receives a series of free after-sales services, including rhodium replating, cleaning, increasing or decreasing the size (if the pieces are suitable for such alterations).
g) Shipping the jewelry for retouches, claims or repairs should be made by a courier to Bucharest, 9 Dumitru Pera, district 6. These services are assumed and fulfilled within 14 working days from the receipt of the products. The Client is responsible for paying the transport and insurance for the Products.
- h) All changes will be carried out only if such changes do not risk affecting the resistance or the jewelry model.
i) Shipping the jewelry for retouches or if the Client decided against purchase has to be preceded by a written notification regarding the intent. We reserve the right not to accept return packages without prior written notice.
) The Rights granted to the Client under this warranty will be exercised provided the Client notifies CONTEMPORIA SRL regarding the lack of conformity/deficiencies within 2 months of observing them. Legal warranty for conformity granted to the Client by this Contract does not exclude legal warranty against hidden vices based on the Civil Code provisions.

- Causes leading to the annulment of warranty The Client can lose the warranty granted by this Contract if they act/fail to act as follows:
a) Failing to follow the instructions regarding the use and care of the purchased Product, as they are included in the Contract.
b) Performing repairs/alterations on the purchased Products by the Client or by unauthorized third parties or in workshops, other than those of the Seller, as noted in this Contract.
c) CONTEMPORIA SRL does not take responsibility for problems arising from mechanical factors
d) Losing the warranty certificate.
e) Failing to notify the Seller regarding the deficiencies/conformity issues noticed about the purchased Products within 2 months from the purchase date.
- Use and care instructions
Defects arising from failure to observe the instructions below will lead to the annulment of warranty:
a) When you are not wearing the pieces, safeguard them in their box, a special jewelry box, or a soft fabric pouch.
b) Do not wear the pieces when cooking, doing dishes/laundry, taking a bath, or swimming in the pool.
c) Take off necklaces, earrings, chains, hollow or low flexibility bracelets before going to bed; they can be deformed or broken during sleep.
d) Do not wear hollow jewelry in circumstances where you could hit them: once bent, they cannot be returned to their initial shape.
- e) The rhodium is the layer applied on white gold to ensure better shine. The resistance and shine of rhodium can last for a lifetime or just for a short period, depending on how the jewelry is work and cared for, as well as on the chemical reactions with a specific person. Avoid using rhodium-plated jewelry in water, and during housework, there is a risk the
rhodium layer will lose some of its intensity. Make sure you avoid contact between rhodium-plated jewelry and cosmetics, especially those containing talc powder.
f) Protect your jewelry from dust, perfume moist and hair spray.
g) Make sure you avoid contact between your jewelry and acid solutions, and motor oil.
h) Do not try to clean the stone settings with needles or other sharp objects that might deteriorate the stone or the setting.
i) Pay special attention to pearl jewelry since the setting cannot withstand mechanical shocks. Also, make sure you avoid contact between pearl jewelry and water.
VIII. RETURN POLICY
34.) If you are unhappy with the Contemporia products you purchased and you wish to recede from the purchase and be reimbursed, you can initiate the return procedure within 14 days, according to Emergency Ordinance 34/2014 regarding the rights of consumers in contracts signed with professionals, as well as for amending and supplementing specific legal acts
34.) The statutory 14-day deadline for exercising this right starts:
a) for products, from the day of receipt by the CLIENT;
b) for services from the day the Contract was signed.
35.) By distance contract, we understand Contract regarding the supply of products or services between a seller and a client, within a selling system organized by the Seller, which uses exclusively, before and after the signing of such Contract, one or more distant communication techniques.
36.) The 14-day return right is exclusively granted to clients who purchased products online from www.contemporia.ro or by orders submitted to email firstname.lastname@example.org
37.) The Client is entitled to the unilateral termination of the distance contract within 14 days, with no penalties and without cause.
38.) According to Emergency Ordinance 34/2014, the Client is responsible for covering the costs incurred by returning the Products to the Seller.
39.) Shipping the jewelry for retouches or if the Client decided against purchase has to be preceded by a written notification regarding the intent. We reserve the right not to accept return packages without prior written notice.
40.) The right to withdraw is not granted to legal persons.
41.) The right to withdraw does not cover engraved products.
42.) Refund will be processed within 14 days from the Client’s withdrawal from the Contract.
43.) According to Emergency Ordinance 34/2014, the Client cannot terminate the following contracts unilaterally, except as otherwise agreed on by both parties (the Client and the Seller):
a) contracts for services whose delivery has begun, as agreed on by the Client, before the expiration of the 14 days;
b) contracts for products or services whose price depends on the fluctuation of financial markets, which cannot be controlled by the Seller;
c) contracts for products manufactured according to the Client’s specifications or for specifically customized products or products that, by their nature, cannot be returned or can degrade fast;

IX. CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY

accepting these terms and conditions. Make sure you carefully review these terms and conditions to ensure the best experience using the website.
45.) SC CONTEMPORIA SRL reserves the right to amend these provisions without further notification.
46.) By accessing www.contemporia.ro and submitting orders through the online shopping section or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, the user grants Contemporia the right to save and process their personal data. We process the data for the following purposes: to create a database for statistical reporting, to inform the Clients about Contemporia promotions or other promotions and events organized by Contemporia through any communication methods (post, email, phone, SMS, etc.). Contemporia undertakes not to divulge the personal data to third parties, except for its direct marketing services supplier. Your personal data can be transferred to authorities if needed for transaction verification or other legal authorities for any required verification if applicable laws require it.

This right cannot be invoked if the Products were picked up from our studio or delivered personally by our staff or products tested or installed by our team.

49.) Force majeure events exonerate the affected party from contractual obligations if notification is submitted within 3 days from the event and force majeure is proven. During the force majeure event, parties are responsible for taking all measures to limit the consequences.
The invoking party is responsible for notifying the contractual partner regarding the date the force majeure events cease.
If the force majeure event exceeds 14 working days, either party can terminate the Contract.
50.) We do not take responsibility for printing and/or language errors in this document.
51.) Photos shown do not create legal obligations.
52.) Prices, offers, and images can be updated without prior notification.
53.) Other terms used in this Contract:
Retouch – repair performed during the warranty period offered by the Seller for Goods with defects
Defect – Product that suffered damages/changes from its original state due to mechanical shocks or other destructive factors
The resistance factor of a jewelry piece is represented by a series of features that ensure the piece’s structure. This can be affected by mechanical shocks or high-risk repair work.
By using, browsing, or buying products from www.contemporia.ro, the user considers the fact the Romanian laws govern the Terms and Conditions above and any dispute that may arise between the Client and CONTEMPORIA SRL.
In the case of any conflict between CONTEMPORIA SRL and its Clients, an amicable settlement will be pursued for a minimum of 30 working days.
If amicable settlement is not possible, the conflict will be settled by the court of competent jurisdiction according to applicable Romanian laws.
XIII. FINAL PROVISIONS
55.) If any of the clauses above will be found null and void, no matter the cause, this will not affect the applicability of the remaining provisions. By submitting an order, the Client unequivocally accepts the Terms and conditions of use, these having the value of a contract.
56.) By agreeing with these Terms and conditions, the Client agrees to be legally bound by the rights and obligations that arise from shopping from www.contemporia.ro virtual shop or by submitting an order by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
