Mandarin Duck Ring
My theme was to make a ring from 2 mandarin ducks, one he and one she.
I found out that mandarin ducks, like turtles, have only one pair in their lifetime, that they are quite small and cute, play an important role in Chinese and Korean culture related to couple and marriage and the duck has a ridge and colorful plumage towards unlike the duck, which is quite similar to the European ducks.
I thus shaped the wax ducklings, placed them face to face and cast them in white gold.
